I’ve only been at Netbasic a couple of days and already I have my own webpage and mini caricature... so I guess I must be staying!! So far I have enjoyed every minute of being here. There is a lot to learn but I’m getting there and everyone is so helpful I already feel part of the team.
My job is to manage and develop one of our sites and to say it’s a bit challenging would be an understatement. Having had several weeks off between jobs the most challenging thing I’ve had to cope with over the last few weeks is working out how to watch Maury without missing re runs of Will and Grace and fit in an afternoon nap!

Wednesday 11th saw most of the Netbasic team at St Mary's stadium for the Bon Jovi concert.
It started off with a few drinks at Walkabout to warm up. Actually no, it started off, for Jake and Jon at least, on the drive to Southampton with several cans of Cider and some abusive comments aimed at Southampton Football Club, Southampton City and anyone living in Southampton!
With a quick stop to the local chippie to fill up on chips, sausages and a rather odd looking chicken burger we were ready to face the evening.
A 3 hour wait and a dodgy rock band later, Bon Jovi came on. Most of us, suitably drunk, believed we knew the words to every song, and sang along tunefully at the top of our voices. As our pile of empty beer bottles increased so did our enthusiasm and with our air guitars at the ready we rocked out to Living on a Prayer, You give love a bad name and Always.
Bon Jovi put on a great show and even the drizzle didn't dampen our spirits. The evening ended with more chips and us trying to dissuade Jake from pulling out his hayfever itching eyes with the wooden chip fork!
I'm already looking forward to the next Netbasic outing!!

"Sarah joined Netbasic at the start of March and has now made the number of ladies in the office up to three. This means that Colin is now sat on a floor of women - lucky Colin. She has only be been working with us for a few days so far so not much dirt to dish. One thing we have really found out this week is that she only drinks half a cup of tea, regardless of the size of the mug!
On the work side of things, she has settled into her new role as one of our Online Marketing Executives very quickly and is already taking control of one of the sites.
