I'm James, the only stereotypical metalhead in the office. Despite my metal T-Shirts, long hair and beard, I'm actually a nice guy. I'm starting to settle down here now and I've been made very accepted by everyone, hopefully my career with Netbasic is protected and secured! Being trapped in this office for 8 hours a day really is quite pleasant.

Busy Bees and WeeMees

Well everyone except me today is engrossed in the deployment of "the next best thing" as Sii put it. They're all talking about things and what they're going to do today, and look very hard at work, and here's me completely un-involved. Maybe thats a good thing, as they all seem pretty stressed out...

Caroline, Sarah and I also just got our full-sized WeeMees presented to us (I believe the girls have been waiting for some time for theirs!), so we feel even more at home here at Netbasic. Anyway, despite the rest of the guys being busy, it doesn't mean that I'm not busy, so I must get on with my work!!

Waste? Or Win?

I am incredibly hurt as my bottle of juice that I worked hard to earn the money to buy has been wasted in Sii and Jon's latest trick. Contaminating the water cooler seems to be the fun thing to do this afternoon as they wasted half a bottle of High Juice, half a bottle of Orange Juice, and my personal half bottle of expensive quality Fruit & Barley juice.

I'm a little upset as that stuff is expensive, and there's no water. Not only that, they did a botch job and it's just very weak pink stuff... I think the water cooler man is going to have a fit...

The Office Move-Around

posted by james on July 11th, 2008

On Tuesday this week, the office had a big old move around. Us tech and design guys have now moved onto the middle floor, and the marketing guys are now where we were. The move was... interesting... and despite my efforts, I didn't manage to avoid doing any heavy lifting, although thankfully I didn't lift some of the heavier stuff. The board room downstairs is looking a lot nicer now with the sofa moved from the Splash.co.uk office, it gives us a nice little area to sit and play cards or eat lunch... even though Sii, Jon and Chris still sit at their desks and play cards at lunchtime. Nevermind, eh?
